Yoga and reformer Pilates, by spring.

A warehouse studio at Alserkal Avenue. Twelve people a class, mat and reformer in one room. Pick the spring colour that sounds like you and the page shows the rest.

First three classes AED 300, mat or reformer. A single class from AED 120.

Next classClasses from 06:30 to 20:45, seven days.

Choose your spring.

On a reformer the springs set the resistance and every colour means one thing. We grade every class the same way, mat and reformer, so you never book a room that is too much or too little.

The week, light.

Every class this week at your spring, exactly as it sits in our booking system. Twelve places each. Booking closes fifteen minutes before.

Yellow is light, blue is medium, red is strong. Colours are named on every chip, not just coloured.

Your first hour, both ways.

The mat is bare feet and a blanket. The reformer is a bed on springs with straps and a bar. It looks worse than it is. Here is each hour, side by side, so you can see the difference before you choose.

On the mat

  1. BeforeCome to the desk on the ground floor of Warehouse 47. Shoes off, bare feet, take any mat. Blocks, a strap and a blanket are already there.
  2. 00:00The teacher asks whether anything hurts and whether you have practised before. Say no if it is no.
  3. 00:05Breathing on the floor. Easy and longer than you expect.
  4. 00:15Standing work. Every move is said out loud and shown. Lose track, look at the person next to you.
  5. 00:35Something will feel hard. Child's pose is always allowed and nobody will draw attention to it.
  6. 00:50Slower work, then five minutes lying still under the blanket.
  7. 01:00Water and dates at the desk. Nobody sells you anything.

On the reformer

  1. BeforeGrip socks for your first few classes; bare feet slip until you know the machine. We keep them at the desk for AED 40 and your first pair is included. Tell us it is your first time and you get the carriage nearest the teacher.
  2. 00:00The teacher walks you round the machine: the carriage that slides, the springs that set how hard it is, the bar and the straps. Two minutes, no jargon.
  3. 00:05Lying down, feet on the bar, pushing the carriage out and back. This is most of Pilates and it is calmer than it sounds.
  4. 00:15Straps on your feet, then your hands. The teacher sets your springs; you do not have to know which colour is which yet.
  5. 00:35Something will feel hard. Ask for a lighter spring. It is normal, it is what the springs are for.
  6. 00:50Stretching on the carriage, then a minute lying still.
  7. 01:00The teacher tells you which spring you were on. Next time you will know your colour.

The room

Twelve carriages,
one long window.

Eight reformers along the glass and four mats behind them, so a mat class and a reformer class never share the room at the same time. Oak floor, no mirrors on the long wall, springs on every machine set for you until you know your colour.

  • 12 people, never more
  • 8 reformers, 4 mats
  • 60 minutes, every class

Yusuf
Red springs and the jump board. Loud music, kind teacher.

Plain answers.

I have never done Pilates. Mat or reformer first?

Either. If the machine worries you, do a yellow mat class first and a Reformer Foundations class second. If you are curious, go straight to Foundations. Both are built for it.

Do I really need grip socks?

For your first few reformer classes, yes: bare feet slip on the carriage and the straps until you know the machine. After that, socks or bare feet is your call. We keep socks at the desk for AED 40 and your first pair is included with the intro pack.

What is a spring, exactly?

The metal springs under the carriage that set how hard it is to move. Yellow is light, blue is medium, red is heavy. Your teacher sets them for you until you know your colour.

Can I switch springs mid pack?

Yes. Passes are for classes, not colours. Book any spring you like, any day.

Late, cancelling, pausing?

Doors close at the start time. Cancel up to four hours before from your account and the class goes back on your pass. Pause a membership any time from the same place.

Where does the booking happen?

On our booking system, which opens from any Book button here with the class already picked. You will see the time, teacher, spring and price again before you pay.

We will do the rest.

Your first three classes are AED 300, mat or reformer. Booking takes about a minute.
